    26 years ago more than 8,000 innocent people were murdered because of their ethnicity and religion in the Srebrenica Genocide in Bosnia. Our society must stand united against intolerance, hatred and discrimination.

    Today we mark 26 years since the Srebrenica genocide in which 8372 Bosniak civilians were brutally murdered. They were killed after Bosnian Serb forces attacked the UN "safe area" of Srebrenica in July 1995. ⚪️

    This morning my brother and I went to visit our father, uncles and cousins. My brother never cries (I’m not that strong) but at the grave of cousins his age, I see tears in his eyes, I feel the guilt he feels for having survived.

    Twenty-six years since Bosnian Serb forces murdered 8,000 Bosnian Muslims in , and remains are still being identified. Nineteen more people will be buried Sunday, including a father & son, and Fikret Kiverić and Azmir Osmanović—both just kids when they were killed.
