I applied to keep verification, it's completely based on if I've had "trusted news sources" write articles about me, so I linked the four that I could find. How insulting is it to YouTubers to be told you only deserve your prize if people OUTSIDE of YouTube write about you?
Like, it doesn't matter how hard I've worked and how well I've done ON the platform of YouTube. What matters is if news websites have written articles about me. That's so arbitrary. In no way is that rewarding us for our success. What a slap in the face.
A video a day minimum since March of 2011. Over 5000 videos on my channel, 50K new subscribers in the last month as my channel is finally blowing up, and YouTube tells me not enough blogs talk about me to stay verified. Apparently being relevant on YouTube isn't good enough

With just how many people misread my name as "Mah-Dry-Beard", it would be insanely easy for someone to impersonate me in the comments of videos and try to scam people. This is literally what Verification is supposed to prevent.
