Being white isn’t an important part of Velma’s character. People are telling on themselves if they suddenly can’t relate to a character because they’re no longer white.

People are saying it's not Velma because it's a character that looks and acts like Velma bit it takes place in a different world. It sounds like they came up with a bland idea, and are just slapping Velma's name on it out of desperation.
