    Hard to top this “only in Thousand Oaks” story. So earlier this month a large valley oak near the bottom of Tarantula Hill split down the middle. Because of the tree’s close proximity to the trail and Gainsborough Road, COSCA staff made the call to cut it down. Photos from COSCA
