The inescapability of it is part of it, the need to keep doing it hour after hour & day after day. The cost of paying for help or for one spouse to be able to stop working, if there is a spouse, is a luxury out of reach of all but the most well off, especially in expensive cities
Dear #HCP; As you support #caregivers, understand that many don’t have Kleenex worthy crisis events that are glaring & dramatic. Rather they often have a lifetime of small events that pile up, one on top of the other, eventually crushing them under the weight. #Compassion

In places like Toronto 2 people working full time at an average wage struggle to pay the average rent or mortgage and taxes. Add full time caregiving or subtract 1 person and it's near crisis all the time, under ordinary conditions.
