This happened to me FOUR times trying to donate my convalescent plasma. Finally got it down low enough on the 5th try! I took Xanax an hour and a half before and asked them to take it for the full minute instead of 30 seconds.
Thanks. That makes me feel a little better. I'm going to call tomorrow and see if I can make another appointment, but I had to wait a month for this one, so...

I was able to get the first three appointments all in one week (but this was at the very beginning of May) but then had to wait weeks in between attempt four and five-it really really really sucked. Hopefully it won’t take you 5 tries!!

I hope not! I am super impressed that you stuck with it that many times, though. I'll call tomorrow and see. I did take Xanax an hour beforehand, but maybe I can talk to my doctor about whether it's safe to take a higher dose.
