As I write this, there are 1,038 New York Times employees in a Slack channel created less than six hours ago to discuss the op-ed. The discussion has been intense but thoughtful at every turn, and the idea that the anger is confined to young people is patently untrue.

Bari lies. Everyone knows Bari lies. And the discussion should be, why does Bennett have people everyone knows are untruthful, that are documented as being untruthful, still on the Op/Ed page. Bari and Brett and Cotton are just themselves. It's Bennett who hands them the mic.

Shouldn’t lying when you’re in a position of power at a newspaper that purports to be “the paper of record” be disqualifying? Isn’t the whole point of the entire enterprise supposed to be the truth?
