Okay, so one time I got home from a late shift and tried to tiptoe into the bedroom without waking my husband. I failed. Husband, feeling something: "Uh, turn on the light?" I turned on the light, saw a centipede on him, screamed "OH MY GOD IT'S ON YOU," and ran out of the room.

First time I ever "met" one, it crawled into my ear while I was sleeping at a rental house on the Jersey Shore. Freaked me out enough that when I'm away from now, I sleep with earbuds in.

When my sister lived in Barbados, a centipede bit her and she had to come back to the US for treatment because of complications. So, yeah, I'm with you on that one.

I’m not afraid of house centipedes until I feel something fluttering across my feet then I want to let loose a blood curdling scream. But every single time I feel that fluttering on my feet it has been bunny whiskers. I live with 2 tiny house rabbits.
