My husband and I are recovering from COVID-19. We’re getting better. But it’s taken more than two weeks to say that, and that was with the “mild” version, meaning no trouble breathing. This virus is absolutely brutal. “Mild” is not mild by any normal definition. Thread: 1/x

What date did you start working from home/distancing? You said his symptoms began March 21. Not many people began that before 3/17.

We started working from home March 11. Even before that, I was being extremely careful about handwashing, showering and changing clothes as soon as I got home, etc.

What do you use to wipe down cereal boxes and other thin cardboard? Also things like cheese packaging, meats, and other products where there's just one layer between skin and food? We've been trying to figure it out. Do you discard the cardboard? Soak things in bleach & rinse?

We’re the same: we were being so careful! In hindsight, he wonders if his vigilance might’ve slipped just a little while pumping gas ... but we’ll never know.

I’m so glad you’re feeling better. In your takeout, did you get things like salad and sushi? Non-hot items? Sandwiches in bread or buns? My husband and I are wondering if only hot food or food that can be reheated should be consumed right now, but can’t find much about that

Thank goodness you are both on the mend. I’m terrified - I have asthma and hoping that physical distancing will help me not get this. The only thing is that my spouse goes out to get what we need and is exposing himself. It’s a scary time and wish everyone love and light!
