The category "millennials and Gen Z" is enormous, as I wrote: The oldest millennials, born in 1981, were finishing up college or just out of it on 9/11. The youngest in Gen Z weren't born on 9/11. I'm in the middle; I was about to turn 12.

1/ I'll interpret this to mean that they want things to be given to them (their sense of entitlement) because they don't want to work for it. Unlike other generations which organized & went out into the streets protesting, young people today think that criticizing & harassing...

2/ ppl online is a valid form of protesting. It's not. It's the laziest form of protesting ever, especially in light of the fact that most people don't live online, so their anger & frustration doesn't break through.

This may be the best article ever written in the NYTIMES. You nailed it. I'm 37, my husband's 38, we voted for Bernie. I don't even know if his vote counted, since his registration was changed to GOP & he had to get a provisional ballot. He had to take a day off work to vote. It

seems like there are layers of voter suppression to overcome. The moderates oppose voter suppression in the general election bc we give them an advantage against the GOP. But they favor it in primaries bc young ppl give progressives an advantage over them. I've lost all hope.
