I disagree. (with all respect, love you 99% of the time). The candidates pumped their crowds. Biden was way more "get excited"ish than he should've been with the results. Besides the app, Pete is the storyline coming out of tonight. At least it's not Howard Dean.
They did pump up their crowds, absolutely. But compare Buttigieg ("undeniable reality," "going on to NH victorious") to: Klob: "punching above our weight" Bernie: "a good feeling we're going to be doing very very well" Biden: "going to walk out of here w/ our share of delegates"

I see a substantive difference between acknowledging the uncertainty but saying "I think we did great," and declaring a certainty that doesn't exist.

I see your points. Still just feel like it was pumping the crowd territory, regardless of exact words. By reports, he did slightly better than the pre caucus narrative had him doing. And it's even bigger if you factor in the LGBTQ+ side of it. But yes, I concede, rhetoric was big
