    Kim Wexler's Ponytail‏ @MadisonKittay 21 Dec 2020

I just saw a Heineken commercial using Harry Chapin's "Cat's In The Cradle" to frame a warm and loving father-son relationship and I think advertising creative directors should have to listen to songs all the way through before they approve them. 😒

Also, someone pretty high up at @Heineken_US also had to approve it, so it's an agency AND client failure.

I work in a company that is mostly ad agencies (we are not an ad agency) and there is absolutely no one over 50 on the creative side who could have given them the heads up on that.

When you hit 50, you have to go to the advertising glue factory. Imagine being a woman who worked in fashion advertising (me.)

My daughter came home from college and immediately asked to borrow the car keys. I started singing to her.

It doesn't really... start well, either. Like, I can't think of anything in that song that strikes a positive image of parenthood except maybe the first 2 lines of the chorus.
