Should I go containers or should I go serverless? Now you don't have to choose anymore: https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws/new-for-aws-lambda-container-image-support/ … Yes I am aware Fargate exists. Now with Lambda supporting containers as well, it makes even more sense to always use Containers. And worry about deployment later.
Not really a lot since your images still need adhere to the Lambda model. (But you can charge higher consulting fees.) Also higher cold start times, which I guess is a way to offset the new ms-based pricing model

If you want to go container first I still think Fargate ECS/EKS would make more sense

I have been fighting a lot with http://serverless.com when it created the zip files for me. Because I'm on a mac, I had to somehow containerize the build of those zip files anyway to include the linux versions.

About cold start times, the keep-warm option in the serverless framework works super well.
