I will be voting NO on the Rules package with #PayGo. It is terrible economics. The austerians were wrong about the Great Recession and Great Depression. At some point, politicians need to learn from mistakes and read economic history. @paulkrugman @StephanieKelton @RBReichhttps://twitter.com/GunnelsWarren/status/1080318713331617792 …

It won't happen then, either as long as corporate Dems are in control.
-
I can’t take people who say “Corporate Dems” seriously. You’re really just an Independent trying to scam DNC money to support your Independent candidate in presidential elections. I won’t name any names.
-
I can't take people who think corruption is ok seriously. You're really just paid to support the status quo and keep the money flowing into the pockets of people that work for corporations and not voters. The planet doesn't have time for you.
-
Are you saying that my clients for my landscaping company are paying me to support the “status quo” whatever the fuck that is? Or is it the people who pay me to work my 4 part time jobs in the winter? I can’t understand your attack on me, personally. It’s nonsensical.

Amen to that! But we can at least get some messaging bills on the table, and perhaps get some action. Love you for asking all these questions! And sorry to flood your in-box.

Thanks. But since Glenn Greenwald owns the Intercept I consider it a biased publication. Cheers for the effort though!
-
Didn’t know that. The article was in a tweet from R. Reich. It gives an overview of the rule, some of its history. I didn’t look into the founding of the journal before reading article.
-
Fwiw I don't trust The Intercept is because Glenn Greenwald founded and runs it. Greenwald is notoriously intellectually dishonest (debating strawmen and mischaracterizing critical arguments): http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2013/06/glenn-greenwald-is-ralph-nader.html … and has become an apologist for Russia:http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2018/02/how-glenn-greenwald-made-the-russia-scandal-disappear.html …

The Russian scandal was 2k worth of ads. Its propaganda to avoid talking about policy and changes that are slowly chipping away at income and benefits of Americans

We only need control of two branches of gov.: the executive and legislative branches, & only for ease. At any rate, good policy can prevail if the vast public is for it. Look what happens when ACA is supported by a majority of the public despite a majority power in opposition.

Guys I’ve muted this conversation from this morning, it’s all been sorted out and I can’t deal with 20 new mentions every hour

I would argue that even if the progressive bills don't pass, we will have the votes on record. With that knowledge we can primary candidates who don't agree with our progressive agenda. Then as you said in 2020 we can vote out the corporate shills.

They said the same thing about the new deal to FDR. They said something similar to teachers in the US about wages this year. They said something similar to France last month. THEY. WERE. WRONG.
