Important to note is that I do not live in Brussels, by direct train I live 1 hour from Brussels. Here I am waiting in the train station for 1 of 2 trains per day that are directly to Brussels.pic.twitter.com/bxV2LAr7lM

For living in a small town a lot of people who take the train every day, in fact we very high on the list of busiest train stations (compared by size)
First train of the day, an M4 pushed by a HLE27(30) Quite crowded at this hour, even in 1st class.pic.twitter.com/rqEtgFJxIZ
So is this an early hour? (07:00) Not really, I usually take the train to work at this hour also. As do many people judging by how busy this train is.
The travel essentials: - toileteries - several pairs of Bose noice canceling devices - an isolated coffee mug - a gopher - a pen Never travel the Belgian railways without a new pen! Combined with the correct paper it is a valid and cheap ticket!pic.twitter.com/FHeVyqKQJM
Long time train thread followers, who can spot the error? (Emoji added for protection of the friendly train manager)pic.twitter.com/m5uIWHxjlA
Also spotted: 1 bank card reader, seems the morning commute is idea for bookkeeping
Seems like I am not the only one working from train! Even radio presenters seem to get infected by the train virus

Just left Mechelen, i am halfway on my train to Brussels. In meanwhile the train really filled up, never knew so many people commute to Brussels
Unlike Paris, London, what other cities have you... Brussels has the famous “North–South connection”. 6 tracks under Brussels connecting the 2 biggest stations, more than a thousand trains pass it per day. Making international connections super easy!
Arriving in Brussels! You notice by the announcements in 2 languages
And in a tunnel under Brussels! Kind of an anti climax compared to other tunnels I will see today
The new signs of Brussel-Zuid greets me! This station is a beta test of new colors amd typefacepic.twitter.com/63eAQ2112x
Greeted by a friendly Eurostar employee and a sign that said “Drinks allowed” take that airports
Got through the border
They now opened a duty free store a few meters from the UK border... Brexit preparation?
The worst is that you have to go through it... bringing the hell of airports right to trains

@Eurostar you can do better
30 minutes till departure. Took a seat in the Standard Lounge (that’s my nickname for the few leather seats)pic.twitter.com/rbNDGufBDh
We all know @seatsixtyone, but let me make my case for seat 11
It is a solo seat, great for when traveling alone. It has a private window. It is right behind the luggage racks for all your suitcases. Close to door and toilets and if you’re lucky fast servicepic.twitter.com/Zq2wCwKVDo
Looking to be a calm serious today! We do stop in Lille and Calais to pick up friendspic.twitter.com/nQ3KyUTnFf
In my Eurostar e320 train, pulling up to 300/h towards Lille Both Eurostar and this train are remarkable. Eurostar transports more passengers than all airlines combined over their operated routes (airlines on those routes that is)! Why would you fly with such a good train!
Eurostar is also record holder of the longest non-stop train! In 2006 they ran without stopping from London to Cannes, a 7+ hour trip.
They are also have the speed record in the UK of 333,7 km/h. Which they proudly advertise in their trains
[CW food] They keep bringing the good stuff Also this might be the first time I speak Dutch on a Eurostar... usually my mind switches to English once in the terminalpic.twitter.com/0mqudpRn9d
