2) Nativists partly rose because they thought ‘the woke’ ignored our (surveyed) homophobia or antisemitism etc

Islam is a political tool to the left, a cudgal, to be weilded against its political opponents. They do not share its values, and only wish to use it for the political capital of being able to acuse the right of bigotry.
