Another one arguing a free speech line by a journalist who (at least admits) doesn’t like me. But..if you accept defamation law in principle, then you can’t begrudge me for seeking to prove defamation by arguing factual error&actual malice (US legal criteria for such cases) before a judge. The judge would’ve decided. It’s as if they begrudge that I even wanted to argue it

Arguing an absolutist position of speech is unworkable. Arguing that the law is correct but Maajid’s case didn’t meet the legal standard &so he shouldn’t have even tried, is absurd. My whole case was about arguing before a judge weather it did indeed meet the standard or not.

Finally, I won.. which perhaps indicates that my case was stronger than the one or two critics think. We were seeking to prove factual inaccuracies, with actual malice. And it appears we did a pretty good job

Oh... and those one or two critical journalists who have no understanding of law are arguing this sets a bad precedent. Haha.. it didn’t even get to court, it was an out of court settlement you silly billies, the only precedent this sets is one of civility and forgiveness!

When you’ve had bank accounts shut,accountants refusing service, visas denied, airport inspection & doors closed to projects, it gets to a stage where you say ‘enough is enough’. The only way I got my name cleared was through taking action. Love it or hate it, legal action worked
