#Mbalula We do not want parachuted leadership that will arrive in bling cars in a sea of poverty, but a leadership that is genuinely attuned and works hard with the people to respond to their aspirations.

#Mbalula During the course of this weekend and beyond, the ANC expects that all of our members and leaders will, at all times, be the epitome of humble servant leadership; rooted amongst our people and part and parcel of their struggles.

#Mbalula So if a person has moved from one flat to another, one street to another and have never checked their addresses, it is critical that they do so, during the open registration weekend on the Saturday, 10th and Sunday, 11th March 2018.

#Mbalula We must explain to our people that even if one is already registered they must check their addresses to ensure a credible voters roll.

#Mbalula It is the duty of every ANC member to help all eligible voters, get an identity document, check their addresses and register to vote. You can also check your address and registration details by SMSing your ID number to 32810 or call IEC toll free on 0800 11 8000.

#Mbalula As we enter the phase of regional, provincial conferences and the list process, we are all expected to demonstrate highest level of discipline and unity.

#Mbalula More must be done to meet the needs of our people faster, not just in the build up to the elections but all the time.The people of South Africa are looking forward to a united ANC that is not at war with itself.

#Mbalula We have heard the concerns raised with the ANC and have used this information to redirect the focus of both the ANC led government and the ANC itself.

#Mbalula ANC cadres deployed in government must deliver on the commitments we have made to our people and at all times, hold public servants to account. Our focus must be on economic recovery, creating jobs and fighting corruption.

#Mbalula The message that will be coming from this workshop will be very clear. It is not and cannot be business as usual. As directed #ANC54, branches of the ANC must be on the ground, every day, engaging our people and working with them to solve their problems.

#Mbalula While our people appreciate the strides the ANC led government has made in addressing their needs for access to electricity, housing, health care and education amongst us; more still needs to be done to create jobs, fight crime and decisively deal with corruption.

#Mbalula During the course of this workshop, the ANC has received detailed research which complements the feedback from South Africans across the length and breadth of our country.

#Mbalula Our intention going into the 2019 Elections, is to win the overwhelming support of our people based on our undisputed track record of delivery as well as our commitment and experience to do even better beyond 2019.

#Mbalula We have assembled here some of the ANC’s finest organisers, researchers, strategists, communicators and legal minds to craft a strategy to consolidate our support and make advances in opposition strong holds.

#Mbalula ANC is meeting in a National Elections Workshop which started yesterday, that will continue until tomorrow, 4th March 2018. Convened by the National Elections Committee, the workshop kicks off the ANC program to a landslide victory in the 2019 General Elections.
