When discussing income inequality in the United States, sharing a strong metaphor can really help drive the point home: Think of the US economy as a human body. Where, the blood is similar to the money that moves throughout the economy. 1/6

In a healthy body (economy), the blood is effectively shared, with certain essential parts get a bit heavier flow. If there's a problem, blood rushes in to help fix injuries, sicknesses, etc. So, in a strong economy every part of the body benefits from good bloodflow. 2/6

However, when the blood becomes concentrated in one area, there's a chance clots will form, vessels will swell and break, and the body fails to get essential nutrients to parts of the body that desperately need it. This creates a weak and dire body facing peril. 3/6

The body of the US is not healthy when all the money/wealth focuses in a few select parts. And, just like an unhealthy body, it becomes weak and unsustainable, as various parts begin shutting down, harming the rest of the economy. 4/6

This doesn't mean we just give up on this body. We can fix the problems and get blood properly flowing everywhere, again. It will take hard work, and most likely strong medicine or surgery to eliminate or cut out what is causing the blood to stop flowing evenly. 5/6

So, when you hear Progressives arguing there's a problem; that we have an unhealthy economy, think of it as a human body. We need all parts getting blood, working in harmony making the United States the best possible version we can be! #MXC2020 #StrongerTogether 6/6
