When I finally figured out that contributing to society impacts me regardless if I follow social norms and standards, that is when I stopped being a Libertarian and started understanding I am really a Progressive.

I used to struggle to reason why I would ever want to pay for someone else's kids, when they weren't my problem. Or, to pay for someone's welfare, when I didn't choose to work on their behalf.
