Reports US & Netherlands cut deal to limit high end CHIPS production equipment exports to China. Significant step. Needs to buttressed w/outbound investment screening on chips, quantum, AI, biotech & pharma and EV and NEV tech. Western capital & technology have fueled CCP's rise.

As #Biden heads to Mexico, important that we keep an eye on trade. Bilateral trade deficit, year to date, is up more than 20%. Strong action by US on workers' rights, but more action needed. And US & foreign investment in Mexico needs to be a focus. bit.ly/3jVMGPK

In addition to . leadership in many other areas she got $20 million into Omnibus for outbound investment review. She and got outbound in House COMPETES. Time not just to address trade injury after it occurs, but stop outsourcing of critical capabilities.

Huawei licenses 5G patents to rival as U.S. sanctions force the Chinese giant to seek new revenue. Huawei is still major player - Saudi's sign new deal. Need to look at Oppo and possible vector for CCP.

It's the job of journalists to investigate how products made from forced labor reach American stores as did in its seafood from slavery series. But now there's an initiative backed by big business to make it impossible to track those supply chains.
