1. Until 2012, I thought recreational marijuana users were people who didn't care about their body or the law. I never blogged about it, but it's how I felt. Then reality slapped me across the face so hard one night I had to immediately change my thinking. I matured & grew.

2. Now I use every chance I get trying to make up for the years I silently condemned others for doing what they had to do to survive. I'm one of the loudest voices of the recretional and medical cannabis movements, including pushing to get people released from jail.

3. If I had a platform before 2012, I'm sure I would look like an idiot now. I'm sure a ton of people would call me a coward and fake now. But ... let me tell you from experience, learning you were wrong for so many years about one subject is like a religious awakening.

4. You really want everyone to hear what you learned so they don't make the same mistakes you made. You want to shout it from the mountain tops that the system is wrong, & you were to blame as much as the system. You were lied to & fooled, & dammit, you're going to call it out.

5. Does it take away all the years you were wrong? No. But if we were all judged on who we were 10-20 years ago, or in my case, just 6 years ago, none of us would ever get anything done.

6. I'm not gay, so it's not my place to say if it's okay for the LGBTQ community to support @JoyAnnReid or not. It will be up to the individuals in that community. I just know that people change. It's called growing up & waking up. I know I did. I'm sure @JoyAnnReid has too. /end

Yup! She was hacked, had a very bad conservative upbringing by her parents, and then shucky-darn, those things just showed up all by themselves! Accident waiting to happen! And then the praise by her well-wishers for an invisible apology which people will listen to and drool over
