    It’s been another busy day for our troopers during this winter weather event: 🥶167 calls for service 🥶48 motorist assist 🥶23 vehicle crashes 🥶3 people injured 🙏🏻zero fatalities! Watch for freezing roadways over night, especially the overpasses, bridges & off-ramps.

    Traveling north to Iowa or maybe Nebraska? Might reconsider!!!

    1-15 10 a.m. - An update from our Troopers and DOT partners: Travel is not advised in much of SW Iowa. At least 28 counties are currently under a tow advisory. Accidents on I-80 WB mile marker 101 and I-29 SB just over the Missouri border are slowing/blocking lanes.

    Troopers have responded to nearly 100 calls for service from early this morning to noon: 🥶91 calls for service 🥶46 motorist assist 🥶17 vehicle crashes 🥶1 person injured 🙏🏻zero fatalities! Please remain & follow for updated road conditions.

    Yep, you guessed it...people are crashing their cars! The roads ARE slick & getting slicker. Mainly north of I-70, but building to the south too. We can’t say it enough...SLOW DOWN!

    If you are traveling along I-29 this morning, there is a High Wind Warning in effect from 3-6AM. Strong NW winds are expected to gust between 55-65 mph in NW Missouri, NE Kansas, and SE Nebraska. This could make driving conditions difficult, especially for larger vehicles.

    For those wishing to test: The Raytown Driver Examination office will close the rest of today & all day tomorrow!! The office will open for normal business hours on Wednesday from 8am to 5pm!!
