Mohsin Abdali, who has been at the forefront of climate activism in Pakistan, and played an important role in mobilising for the climate march, has been taken by two unknown men. We demand he be released with dignity.

How can a govt that charges peaceful activists with sedition and hails those who subverted the constitution as heroes even call itself democratic or pro people.

We lose any right to call others out on their callousness when we start arresting peaceful leaders because they think and speak differently than the mainstream. Our strength lies in being tolerant not in being imposers of tyranny.

I am not Pakhtun. All my life, I have know nothing but love, affection and the most honourable behaviour from the Pakhtuns I interact with, some of whom are closer to me than a brother would be. But because I am not Pakhtun, I can’t be PTM. It is ethnically exclusive... 1/n

In a country where every four minutes a person dies due to air pollution it is astounding that we don't see it as a threat to how we live. And the less privileged get even more affected by it talks about exactly that in this piece

Even though we don't have someone like Modi in power in Pakistan. Can opposition to laws that target the vulnerable in our society come out in such big numbers in Pak? Can we safely voice our concerns for a Pakistan that doesn't punish you for how you think or what you speak?

Depressing to see what we do with our brightest. While we condemn india for its majoritarianism, can we even come out on the streets without the fear of being killed/lynched calling for a much needed review of our blasphemy laws

Lahore's air at hazardous levels, tops the charts for the worst in the world right now, with Karachi at number 10. Wear your masks, try to stay indoors and don't mistake this smoky weather with just fog. It's a blend two. What you're breathing is poison

As unjustified as Judge Seth's decision is. There is no, absolutely no justification to overthrow an elected Parliament. That is the very reason the trial began in the first place

The barbaric sentence proposed by HonJudge is against the fundamentals of justice. We fought a barbaric Taliban insurgency the courts can't perpetuate any such thing by law. This minority view will in public domain pose questions on the credibility of the judgment

Either we submit to the rule of law or to the rule of force and uniform. The two can't go together.CJ Khosa and J Mansoor Ali Shah in their judgment yesterday quoted Sir J Edward, 'Howsoever high you may be, the law is above you.' A timely reminder to those who think otherwise
