Doing some good. Paying it forward. Lucky to be here. An actual patriot who believes in facts, compromise, and knows Sean Hannity is not a journalist.

This is America! Love it and improve it by holding it to ever-higher standards. We're supposed to disagree with each other as individuals and encourage unique ideas. We're supposed to hold our elected leaders accountable. That's our responsibility as citizens. E pluribus, unum.

February 12, 1999 – President Bill Clinton following acquittal by the Senate: "I want to say again to the American people how profoundly sorry I am for what I said and did to trigger these events and the great burden they have imposed on the Congress and on the American people."

Just to step back for a sec on the state of democracy: it‘s considered a likely career-ending political risk for any Republican senator to vote to see or hear evidence in a trial in which they’ve sworn to be impartial jurors.

Nice. is right on it. Pointing out that the Philbin just ADMITTED that Giuliani was NOT conducting foreign policy. And if he WASN'T conducting policy, then what was he doing? Working for Trump's political benefit. "They just undermined their entire argument!"

Trump once again tells his totally made up story about winning a "man of the year" award in Michigan that he never in fact won. Many of his lies are completely impervious to correction.

This is supposed to be an official White House event, not a campaign rally, but Trump doesn't care. He's giving a rally speech to workers in Michigan anyway. Legalities like that don't matter anymore because Trump has figured out that nobody will stop him.

WHAT HAS YOUR SENATOR ASKED? And why am I screaming that? Just for you - we are making our nerdy spreadsheet public. Filling out in real time (you can watch). Consider an RT. It's a labor of love.

"Every public official that I know believes that his election is in the public interest....And if a president does something which he believes will help him get elected in the public interest, that cannot be the kind of quid pro quo that results in impeachment!" — Alan Dershowitz

My question to the Senate: In his impeachment, President Clinton was forced to testify. Why doesn't the same rule apply to the current Prez? He's a tough guy on Twitter- let's see how he does under oath...

During 's press conference which happened while the trial was ongoing: : With all due respect, Shouldn’t you be in the impeachment hearing right now? PAUL: Yeah, I will be there very shortly. Thanks for the question.

In a rare display of bipartisanship, a Democratic senator insists that the White House answer a hardball question from his Republican colleagues. It also introduces something sorely lacking to today's proceedings before now: The art of the follow-up question.
