IN CASE IT"S NOT OBVIOUS by "our current campaign" I am referring to a tabletop campaign, there are no thousand year old dogs in octopath that I am aware of

I relate so hard to being a thief who just wants to steal and my best friend ever might as well be a pious cleric lmao

funny thing is, in any situation with this kind of disparity, if the two characters are queer then it makes perfect sense we stick together <3

A character who wants to fight everyone, a character who wants to judge everyone, and one that wants to steal from everyone. Yup, that's and alright, and every dm nightmare scenario.

They also obviously didnt pay attention to the fact they crossed paths, the game straight up tells you multiple story arcs cross paths with other characters. There is even a skit between them about this haha

Or really any classic RPG game. Baulder’s Gate, Icewind Dale, etc
-
most of those sort of get around it because they're all only adventuring with the party because of the PC. KOTOR 2, among others, are explicit about this.
