If you end up in cold water this winter, follow these tips from : Get out of the water and change into dry clothes as soon as possible. If dry clothes are not an option, leave the wet ones on. The wet clothes can provide some insulation by trapping body heat.

It’s Static Electricity Day, a recognition of the phenomenon that happens when an object’s positive and negative charges are out of balance. Typically a minor annoyance, it might be shocking to learn that static can ignite a fire at the gas pump or take the form of lightning!
Even though each co-op is locally owned and operated, they cooperate with other electric co-ops across the country to develop new technologies, invest in equipment and infrastructure that benefits multiple co-ops in a region, and assist with major outages.
