  1. Esther Connell, mother of MNPD Officer Eric Mumaw--who drowned while attempting to save a suicidal woman on 2/2/17--arrives for this morning's Tennessee memorial service honoring law enforcement members killed in the line of duty.

  2. This morning, the MNPD remembers Officer Michael Petrina, 25, killed in service to our city 5 years ago today. He was assisting in a crash investigation on I-65 near Brentwood when he was struck & fatally injured by a motorhome pulling a trailer.

  7. BREAKING: Christopher Floyd, 31, arrested today on 2nd degree murder indictment for the Dec 2017 drug overdose death of Sara Roberts, 33, at her E. Thompson Ln home. Specialized Investigations Division narcotics detectives allege Floyd provided her with heroin/fentanyl.

  9. BREAKING: Harry Eddie Cunningham, 53, is being charged federally with today's and Saturday's robberies of SunTrust Bank's Thoroughbred Lane branch on the Davidson-Williamson County line. Brentwood Police arrested Cunningham right after today's robbery.

  10. BREAKING: Madison Precinct detectives tonight charged Lamontez Sykes, 22, with criminal homicide for the 4/23 shooting death of his girlfriend, Taylor Miles, 20, in her Star Blvd apartment. Sykes had claimed that Miles shot herself. Evidence says otherwise.

  11. Public's assistance sought in identifying man who Saturday @ 10:30 am robbed SunTrust Bank's 5030 Thoroughbred Lane branch. He presented a robbery demand note. The teller complied. The robber is a white man who appears to be in his 50s. Know him? Call 615-742-7463.
