streeeeamline! Biceps to ears and hands on top of each other. As tempting as it is, don’t breathe on the first stroke off the wall - it’s inefficient. Learn to keep your head in the water (water should be at your hairline) and breathe on both sides. Swimming is all technique.

Utilize a kickboard and kick from the hip and not bicycle style. Also I’m assuming your swimming freestyle/crawl stroke. Don’t fight the water because you’ll always lose.
