        The top 1% keep their wealth in stocks and real estate. This chart simply reflects the increase in value of those assets. A more informative chart would look at income.

        You do know that these "graphs" of US Wealth do not reflect include government transfers, right? The greater government transfers of wealth, the greater will be the the "inequality of wealth". If you are frightened, it may be for all the wrong reasons!
