The WA legislature has underfunded our community college system for years. Now programs like the Maritime Academy at Seattle Central are at risk of losing funding. We stand with in demanding the legislature fully invest in our community colleges and universities.

Community colleges are a critical public service. They provide opportunity for students to get family-wage careers and fuel our diverse economy. We're joining at tomorrow at 1 to call on #waleg to adequately fund community colleges.

Organizers in Renton are working to build off the success in Tukwila last year and raise the minimum wage. The labor council endorses this campaign because it would give a raise to thousands of workers in Renton and lift standards for the people who need it most.
