sound doesnt travel in vacuum
-
Tweet unavailable
-
The camera is attached to the vehicle, the microphone will pickup direct vibrations even in 100% vacuum.
-
So then why can i hear the engine echoing off the chamber
-
It may just have been a test without vacuum
-
someone get this man a verified mark
-
No, it was a vaccum. The reverb is probably internal to the structure.
-
it was not a perfect vacuum. Impossible to achieve in planetary atmosphere.

@elonmusk sound needs a medium to propagate.and this is vaccum.so, no air.so, no medium. where does that much sound come from? -
the medium is the car and attached equipment. Just can’t hear ambient sounds but self-made vibrations are heard/felt by mic
-
Yeah! Solid medium!!
