    People are already displaced, Mayor Dugan. I remember reporting at events where people like George Jackson from DEGC and others regularly saying “bring on the gentrification.”

    When I talk to other big city mayors, the one thing I have heard consistently is that they wish they had developed a plan to prevent gentrification and displacement of lower income resident as their cities revitalized. That's a mistake we are not making in Detroit.

    I have not heard anyone call out the GOP like this. The is no longer a legitimate partner in anything remotely resembling bipartisanship, they are in fact a criminal caucus that poorly executed a plan to kill the vice president of the United States. -
