    People are already displaced, Mayor Dugan. I remember reporting at events where people like George Jackson from DEGC and others regularly saying “bring on the gentrification.”

    When I talk to other big city mayors, the one thing I have heard consistently is that they wish they had developed a plan to prevent gentrification and displacement of lower income resident as their cities revitalized. That's a mistake we are not making in Detroit.

    2. I would say that the same party where nearly 200 of its members voted to not certify the election because they don't believe that Joe Biden is the legitimate president of the United States and members of its leadership oversaw an insurrection...

    I have not heard anyone call out the GOP like this. The is no longer a legitimate partner in anything remotely resembling bipartisanship, they are in fact a criminal caucus that poorly executed a plan to kill the vice president of the United States. -
