:) This is really where the data caveats come in. Problem is Big 4 say only US, France and Sweden formalised TP regs in early century - which is not quite the case. So mid-century decline is basically US declining share of world GDP

Thank-you for the excellent service! When/if you update this chart: what are the positions and colour bands doing? I would go with regional colour bands but chronological positions -- most recent countries on top.
