It is almost as ridicolous as mining and oil companies 0-tax bills in many African countries

That's a bit simplistic Lars. Given the nature of high upfront capital investment, and the way tax systems deal with these costs- there can be absolutely non-ridiculous reason for a company to have a 0 bill for profit taxes.

Do you find the facts stated in the film "Stealing Africa" on Glencore uncorrect?

Stealing Africa makes the claim that if Zambia had received the same price for its copper that Switzerland received on re-exporting it "Zambia's GDP would have nearly doubled". That is ridiculoushttps://hiyamaya.wordpress.com/2014/07/11/swissploitation/ …

But you do not dispute that Glencore shifted profits to Switzerland? This is to my knowledge still the issue in a court case in Zambia

I expect they probably did. But not to extent of the $bns that ppl have been led to hope for. Minerals monitoring project found some production figure discrepancies but not systematic (in general, I dont know which Co.s) and there should be revenue gainshttps://miningforzambia.com/counting-the-copper-in-a-mineral-production-process/ …
