My view: the process & documentation on the criteria, data & calculation is impressive & serious (whether or not you agree w specific criteria) https://www.financialsecrecyindex.com/introduction/method-and-concepts … … -- but lack of wider review of the narrative reports is a missed opportunity for the analysis to be credible
The really weird thing about the criteria though is that they amount to fairly radical transparency moves in some cases - public CBCR, publish tax rulings, register of *all* (really??) trusts etc... But if a country meets them the highest rating is "moderately secretive"?!pic.twitter.com/wINsbP2KkK
