      Suppose a French citizen FTSE, DAX and NYSE tracker funds held in London, Frankfurt, and NY respectively. 2 of those r wealth in tax havens?

      The country-by-country data is only on bank deposits. then %s applied to 2013 estimate of other financial assets.

      (my understanding) If French person held tracker in UK directly wld not be in 2013 estimate (cos no mismatch of declared assets/liabilities)

      So interpretation is not 'wealth held in London' but 'undeclared wealth held in London's?

      Kinda - main data being used is the BIS bilateral banking statistics - and then assumes that non bank deposits similarly distributed

          Id assume UK bank ACs declared, so not sure it holds. Similarly as @lymanstoneky said ppl w huge bank cash not same as ppl w other assets
