Legal support? E.g. On evidence for measures which work & have been shown to be compatible w trade treaty clauses?
so building government capacity, analysis & awareness over there? but what about engaging with the private sector here?
Wasnt thinking of general capacity building, so much as evidence for these courtcases - precedents of advertising & packaging restrictions
+ intergovernment global marketing code for tobacco? like on baby milk. Lobbying against would be fierce
but those codes arent always enforced in low & middle income countries. the baby milk issue is still a HUGE problem in Vietnam, for example
Sure - but having a global code, enforceable thru local legislation better than not having one… make it easier for countries to legislate
