@hselftax while I wait for iPlayer, what do you think re strategy publication? My impression is public docs cleansed of anything distinctive

@martinhearson yes quite bland. No strong objections but is it needed? Better use of existing info powers instead? But "must do something" !

@hselftax possible we'd see a 'race to the top' with certain components coming to be seen as standard.

@hselftax I'm talking just about the strategy publication. Suggesting little useful info at first, but over time may see new norms emerge

@TimLawTax @martinhearson agreed, but hardly new. I briefed main Board regularly >10 years ago.

@hselftax @martinhearson Agreed. Tax talking to Board not new. Having to agree a public statement on approach to tax might be.
