@MForstater @HeatherLoweGFI @fp2p what's not true? that it's not specific to each country? It's meant to demonstrate scale of problems.

@niawag2011 big emerging econs account for most of the US105bn but little of the aid, so the comparison makes scale appear larger

@niawag2011 than e.g. per capita $US105 bn = $20 per year more in richer countries, less in poorer (I know that's not great meme material!)

@MForstater well, - what's a better comparison to give a sense of scale/importance/urgency/outrage?

@niawag2011 - I think per capita is more meaningful for a sense of scale.

@MForstater @niawag2011 Why? IFFs do not divide up per capita like, eg, water rates. As a whole they have an effect on entire economies.
