      @edyson @wef isn't the more relevant cost comparison with the cost of horizontal rural cultivation, rather than with the cost of healthcare?

      @edyson @wef 200g fruit & veg/ day does not replace healthcare! Surely relevant cost comparison is vs 200g same foods from regular farm?

      @edyson @wef -sure but so do regular farmed fruit & veg - so question is, is/can vertical really be more cost effective?

      @MForstater @wef Yes indeed. And the bet is that they can. Esp as water gets more expensive and externalities of pesticides recognized.

      @edyson maybe, but vertical ag needs artificial light. Water not expensive everywhere. Most pesticides applied to staples - wheat, corn, soy

          @edyson I just don't think economics add up, & not sure what problem it solves. I'd want cost comparisons, not with healthcare but with ag.
