@MForstater what, I think, we need is short reserved periods for mum and dad, with the residuum properly funded and fully transferable

@JolyonMaugham Difference would be that leave is an employment right, on becoming a parent. Not dependent on gender or family choices.

@JolyonMaugham - transferable parental leave keeps assumption that mum = main parent. Eg Dad can get transferable leave from working mum 1/
