@MForstater @fcablog If you raise income tax thresholds then the rich and middle also benefit as well as the poorest (which is expensive).
Taking low paid ppl out of tax & NI http://www.forbes.com/sites/timworstall/2013/11/03/5-million-britons-are-living-in-tax-poverty/ … seems better/simpler than rebate to employers - or am I missing something?
