As a layperson, surely a belief cannot be within the scope / jurisdiction of law? A belief is a fact in and of itself. It could be right or wrong, neither or both. For example, science is rarely settled. Religion? I suppose a belief could be a mitigating factor but that’s all.

I have believed that the legal fiction allowed men with gender dysphoria to make changes to their bodies in order to present as women and marry the men they loved, as though they were actually women? This was long before gay marriage, or gayness in general was acceptable.

MAYA! I read the Tweet threads on your trial last month with mouth agape. I was so angry when I saw the ruling. Today is a major comeback. As far as getting this in front of a general audience, we may have succeeded! Congrats and thanks!
