The point at which rights come into it is when one person's belief involves seeking to compel others to do (or not do something) i.e. undermining their rights

I think this conversation gets confused by conflating sex & gender identity. Someone's gender identity may be totally 'valid' (and like religious experience ineffable to anyone else) It doesn't change their sex.

Yes i agree. It is a good starting point. The thing is we have provisions for women - e.g. single sex spaces: refuges, prisons, changing rooms, women's sports. These were set up in recognition that for equality & inclusion in public life, sometimes sex needs to be considered
