I've been noting a clear pattern on the "far left" (and I'm a Democrat from Massachusetts, so … I'm hardly a Neo-con). A) Words and deeds are the same B) Words can therefore be a form a violence C) Words that offend me ARE a form of violence D) Your free speech oppresses me.

The worst child safe guarding policies I've seen have been produced via Aidan's method (focusing on a case study of a non offending person) In my experience, good policy comes from reviewing offenders' cases and asking 'what would have worked to prevent the offense?'

In the environment they are talking about, Helen's question is very good and would lead to strong policy. Males make up nearly all sex offenders who target young females.

Ah Aidan. I knew I had him blocked for a reason. Sexism and his unwillingness to consider women’s needs was definitely the reason.

I'm assuming Aidan is a bloke. If so, it's none of his bloody business, and whatever opinion he has is utterly irrelevant. Sorted.
