How do you reconcile "break down outdated gender stereotypes" with extend equality law to cover "gender identity"? Will you assign everyone who doesn't claim one a "gender identity"? (i.e. a set of gender stereotypes based on their sex?)

No. Did you not read the policy on being able to choose X sex marker? Or were you just deliberately ignoring it?

You have a sex, regardless of whether you live within the stereotypes or not. Having an 'x' opt out reinforces that sex means something to your personality, when it shouldn't. It's just a technicality.

Everyone has an ethnic origin too, but that says bugger all about our identities and no-one but fascists argue that genetic ethnicities should be included in legal identities, the only arguments for keeping reproductive categories on ID docs are sexist AF.

Also if girls & young women are being trafficked/forced married. It's important to know they are female.

Are you seriously saying that a reproductive biology marker on a passport prevents sex trafficking and forced marriage? Based on what evidence, exactly? (Spoiler alert: It doesn't and there is none).

Why do you think your passport should record your gender identity, any more than your political affiliation or your sexual orientation?
