      Yes, the wholesale shift away from women to trans is befuddling in the context of there being so much global VAWG still unsolved. Really, really odd. And terrible optics!

      Yes. I think it is more of a system-wide effect. Not necessarily as direct as the Pritzker funding for a particular programme. But there is a general pressure to make "women" male inclusive and not to talk about this in NGOs or funders. Coalition politics.

          Quite. Where does the pressure through the system originate, though, if not the ideological strings attached to funding? Obviously the pressure works with the grain of patriarchy, but the impetus for this radical shift had to have prime movers? Academics steeped in queer theory??

          Yes pressure is ideology driven, but also enabled by a general vulnerability - funders want to get money out the door, optimise for simple messages, orgs that can 'punch above their weight', staff move between NGOs & funders & NGOs guess what funders want-> fashionable waves
