That may be your view, but it is not that of the prevailing society, and nor has it been for at least half a century, and indeed is now encapsulated in law, specifically Equality Act 2010, and specifically to protect people against transphobic views like yours
Are we back to this again? Do show us in the Equality Act where it says that it is possible for a person to change their protected characteristic of sex just by saying so.

It takes a detour via the Gender Recognition Act. You can be male and protected by the protected characteristic of "sex", change sex by getting a GRC, then be protected as a female under EA2010. You don't need any surgery to get a GRC, just the power of persuasion and £140.

And if you don't have a GRC, remain male in every sense.
