A cousin of a friend of mine came out as a lesbian, but has now announced she is non-binary. I hope this is a trendy thing & not a pressure to no longer define herself as lesbian. It is still a concern that being a lesbian is seen as problematic.

Transitioning is currently a mass hysteria which, like all mass hysterias, is sadly adopted by the most suggestable, neurotic attention seekers in society. Once this hysteria starts losing steam, those who derive power and influence from it, will jump onto the next bandwagon.

Very few teenagers don't feel some sort of dysphoria about their gender and fit into a platonic ideal of gender roles. With social media/filters that unrealistic ideal increasingly seems real. Gender ideology then gives language that says cis = someone reaching the ideal...
